Anacortes Goshawks - 2007

I arrived in Anacortes on 5 April, 2007

8 April 2007 12:30 PM. RVP

1 mature male NG; the bird was hunting over the evergreen trees at 300 feet elevation. The bird was soaring , circling, and drifting, and stooped. The bird had a large area of white, under tail coverts. The bird had a reddish chest, belly, and chin. The bird had reddish vermiculation on under wings. However, the bird (also)had a gray chest and belly. The sun was bright, and reflected off of the ventral areas. The winds were at about 15 miles per hour. OT= 10 minutes; 5 over head observations.
