Goshawks on the nest probability

10 July 2006 4:30 PM. RVP
1 female Goshawk; F and S. EOB= about 200 feet. OT= 1-2 minutes.
Again reflect on my insights of June 9, relating to the interval of May 19- June 9. Now reflect again- this time from the interval of May 19 until July 10. I was in the field every day - except for rainy days, and had only 3 daily sightings. What will probably happen now, or start to happen within the next week or so, will be that I will be seeing NG on many of my daily observations. And weather patterns show: these days will not be interrupted by rainy weather. Also, it is possible the the owl population (predation) can affect the raptor population. And of course , human predation can affect raptor populations. It was in summer 2004, when a Red-Tailed Hawk (mature female) was injured and happened to land at Fidalgo Bay RV Resort. This bird happened to be shot, and was subsequently euthanized by a veterinarian.
